The American Central University has an open entry and exit format for independent study and off-campus learners which allows these students to start their programs at anytime, go through the program at their own pace, and complete the degree program within their own time frame.
Applicants for on-campus and residential degree programs at a study center must follow the standard academic calendar and observe the prescribed timetables.
The first step for enrollment in the University is to complete and submit the Application for Admission, together with a résumé detailing all academic transcripts, certificates, diplomas, licenses, CLEP scores, military service and training, and any other documents showing prior learning and professional, business, trade and work experiences.
Applicants must include an application fee of US$200.00 with the submitted Application for Admission form.
Within two weeks of receiving the complete package, the Academic Committee of the University will review the above, and once the student is approved as qualified to enter the proposed program, a formal letter of acceptance and an education plan will be issued. In the event that the candidate is not considered sufficiently qualified to enter the ACU program, the application fee received will be returned to the student in whole with a note of explanation.
After the student reviews and accepts the Education Plan and arranges for tuition payments, they then begin the process of satisfying the requirements of the degree program.
Students who enroll in a residential, on-campus degree program, and who are accepted by the Academic Committee of the University, will be provided with an appropriate education plan and timetable by the Dean of Education at the appropriate campus. |
