ACADEMIC CREDIT TRANSFER / COURSE EXEMPTION POLICIES
Academic Credit Transfer/Course Exemption Policies: ACU accepts the transfer of academic credits from other accredited or licensed universities provided the course content is deemed to be equivalent to its own and of the same level. It means that exemption will only be granted for courses of undergraduate level comparable to the ACU undergraduate program etc. The following are the maximum credits that can be offered for a degree program:
30 credit hours for an Associate degree.
90 credit hours for an undergraduate/Bachelor's degree
18 credit hours for a Master's degree
20 credit hours for a Doctorate degree
The following steps need to be taken if a student wishes to apply for exemption from any of the ACU courses:
To fill out the CREDIT TRANSFER FORM as provided.
Attach a copy of the official transcript from previous universities/schools.
Include syllabi of courses taken at other universities and institutions;
Provide a "Course Equivalency Chart" table of courses taken at various colleges that is comparable to courses at ACU. The following sample chart is an example of a course equivalency chart:
